8. Push Notification SDK Data Processing Statement

This application integrates the push notification capabilities of the Tencent Cloud Instant Messaging (IM) SDK. It uses industry-standard third-party push services, including Google FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) and Apple APNs (Apple Push Notification service), to deliver message notifications to users when the application is running in the background or is not active.

(1) APNs (Apple Push Notification service)

To enable push notifications on iOS devices, the SDK processes the following device-related information within the necessary scope:

• Device Token: Used to uniquely identify a device through Apple Push services to ensure accurate message delivery.
• Device Model: Used for client-side logic decisions and system compatibility optimization.
• Operating System Version: Used for SDK internal feature adaptation and stability optimization.

The above information is used solely for enabling push notification functionality and does not involve user identity recognition or content analysis.

(2) FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

To enable push notifications on Android devices, the SDK processes the following information within the necessary scope:

• FCM Token: A device identifier assigned by Firebase for message routing and delivery.
• Device Type and Operating System Version: Used for push channel selection and compatibility handling.

The above information is used exclusively to ensure the proper delivery of push notifications and is not combined with other personal data.

3. Purpose and Necessity of Data Processing

FCM Tokens, APNs Device Tokens, and related device information are technically necessary to provide push notification services. Without such information, offline message delivery cannot be achieved. This data does not contain message content, user identity information, or behavioral profiling data.

• The application enables system push notifications only after obtaining the user’s explicit authorization.
• Users may disable or revoke push notification permissions at any time through system settings.
• Once push permissions are disabled, the application will no longer receive or process push-related information.

5. Data Storage and Security

Push-related device identifiers are transmitted using encrypted channels and are used solely for providing push notification services. They are not used for advertising, user profiling, or any purposes beyond the scope described above. Such information will not be sold, rented, or otherwise misused.
